ARTISTIC PROFILE​ - I’m a Salvadoran-born artist,  writer, and illustrator, and my work is inspired by the magic of childhood wonder. I write and illustrate heartwarming, funny, and multicultural children’s stories in both English and Spanish. My illustrations are colorful, whimsical, and full of life, with characters that shine with unique personalities and stories that reflect growth, imagination, and the beauty of the world through the eyes of a child. My creative journey has taken many forms—I’ve been a high-fashion model, fine art photographer, poet, entrepreneur, and visual artist. Whether I’m working in acrylics, pencil, digital media, ceramics, or sculpture, I believe art is magia—a magic that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. A blue dab of paint? Suddenly can become the vast universe or the deepest ocean. A yellow circle? The sun, glowing with endless possibilities. Creating feels like a superpower, one with which I was somehow fortunate to be born. Each piece I create offers a glimpse into my imagination, inspired by literature, adventure, and a deep sense of curiosity. I live in Northern California, where I love exploring the nature of our beautiful Golden State's backyard or traveling the world with my loving family— I enjoy writing, illustrating, learning new languages, cooking, tea, hiking, minimalism, and taking naps with my cats. Through my art and stories, my goal is simple: to bring a little more joy, hope, and magía into everyday life.
